Depression isn’t always sadness. For many people, it’s numbness, low energy, disconnection, or the sense that even small tasks take enormous effort. You might still be functioning on the outside while feeling stuck or empty on the inside.
In therapy, I don’t treat depression as a personal failure. We explore what your experience is communicating—about stress, loss, burnout, unmet needs, or long-standing patterns—and we work toward change at a pace that feels doable.
How depression can show up
Low mood or emotional numbness
Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy
Changes in sleep or appetite
Difficulty concentrating or making decisions
Self-criticism, shame, or hopelessness
What we can work on together
We can focus on understanding what’s keeping you stuck, rebuilding supportive routines, and strengthening self-compassion. We’ll also make space for the parts of you that feel tired, discouraged, or alone—without judgment.
