Life Transitions: When Change Brings Anxiety, Grief, or Uncertainty

Life transitions can be expected (a new job, moving, graduation) or unexpected (a breakup, loss, health change). Even positive change can bring anxiety, grief, or a sense of not knowing who you are in the middle of it.
In therapy, I aim to create a space where we can slow down and make sense of what’s shifting. We can explore what matters to you, what you’re leaving behind, and what you want to move toward.
Common transition themes
Feeling stuck between an old identity and a new one
Second-guessing decisions or fearing regret
Grief for what was (even if the change was necessary)
Pressure to “have it figured out”
Relationship changes and boundary challenges
A collaborative way forward
We can clarify your values, strengthen coping tools, and build a plan that fits your real life—not an idealized version of it.
